Get Shona answers with Android App

Russell Kanyera : Developer, ShonaApp

ShonaApp is a revolutionary educational mobile application available for students.

ShonaApp is a mobile application designed to improve the Shona skills of primary and secondary school students and provide quick answers to some questions. The Android application enables users to get access to Tsumo, Madimikira, Nyaudzosingwi and some Shona to English translations 56of numbers, animals and time without the use of any internet. Grade 7 and Form 4 students additionally get the benefit of revision tips and Zimsec based practice questions with answers.

ShonaApp has a simple and user friendly interface that both parents and students can easily understand. Parents can get quick answers to help their children with Shona homework and use the practice questions to gauge which areas their children can need additional help. Identically, secondary students can learn Shona skills like Shona grammar and measure their exam preparedness by attempting the revision questions.

ShonaApp is available as a free download from www.shonaapp.co.zw and from the Google Play store. The application initially offers free content that includes O and A level Zimsec November exam dates for all subjects, a limited number of searchable content (tsumo, madimikira and nyaudzousingwi), Shona to English translation of numbers and time, the Zimbabwean Shona national anthem and the school pledge.

ShonaApp is a very accessible application. The full ShonaApp version can be accessed by paying just $1 via mobile money. This is a once off payment per device and there are no additional costs for the user and as a bonus all updates are provided for free. To further make the application more user friendly to the Zimbabwean public ShonaApp does not use any mobile data to generate any of the information the user desires. A truly low cost and accessible mobile application.

I got the initial idea to develop ShonaApp when my children asked me for help with their Shona homework but I did not know the answer and failed to find it on the internet.
