God fights our battles

PSALMS 46:10 reads: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

This is a direct command from God to stop our futile efforts in dealing with things that are His domain. He asks us to put down our weapons of war and stand in awe of Him and His mighty power.  Many times, we use our effort to fight battles, grow weary and give in to defeat. When you surrender to God, He can take charge of the situation. He is your refuge in times of trouble and the one who can subdue your enemies who rise against you; Be still and know that He is God.

In Daniel 3:16-17, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.”

Just like the three Hebrew men, there are times you do not need to defend yourself before men. Let God do that for you.

God is ready to fight for you and you only need to trust Him. May God deliver you from the hands of the enemies, those who plot evil against you.  Just believe the Lord is on your side and He will fight the battles on your behalf.

When a situation seems hopeless or the matter at hand is too overwhelming, we may be tempted to doubt God.

But remember that no problem is beyond the scope of God’s sovereign care for His children.

In Exodus 14:13, Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord that He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians that you see today, you will never, ever see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you only need to be still.”

Let this be your prayer; Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you that you fight our battles, Amen.
