THE widely-publicised hostilities pitting music producer Arnold “DJ Fantan” Kamudyariwa on one side, and Zimdancehall chanter Silent Killer (Jimmy Mudereri) on the other, has finally ended.

The two artistes recently made peace and are working together on a new riddim titled “Riya Riya”.

A year ago, Fantan and Silent Killer became sworn enemies, after the latter viciously attacked the former’s younger brother, Tinashe Kamudyariwa, over an undisclosed issue.

Tinashe was admitted to hospital after the unfortunate incident, while Silent Killer was later cleared of the charges.

Silent Killer was subsequently banished from Chillspot after the working relationship between DJ Fantan — a co-owner of Chillspot — and the chanter became untenable.

However, there has been a new development.

Fantan confirmed that the two have actually smoked the peace pipe and are now working together.

“We cannot allow the past to negatively affect our future. What happened between me and Silent Killer a year ago is now water under the bridge. He will feature on our new riddim, which is set to be released at the weekend,” the Chillspot boss said.

According to Fantan, Silent Killer features prominently on the new riddim.

On the other hand, Silent Killer spoke glowingly about his working relationship with Fantan.

“Bad things happened but it is all in the past. We ironed out our differences and we are currently working together on a new production,” he said.

Added the Mbare-born chanter: “Fantan is my mentor and role model, whom I am proud to be working with.”

Silent Killer recently released a new 41-song album titled “Hurungwere”.

The album was produced by PTK.

The artiste is hopeful that the new riddim will be well-received by Zimdancehall followers.

“We gave it our all during the production of the new riddim. I have a feeling that this riddim will drive our fans crazy,” Silent Killer said.
