Government commissioned two computer labs for Domboramwari High School and Epworth Primary School in Harare on Tuesday.

Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere, who officiated at the event, said the computer labs are meant to ensure that no one is left behind.

“We are all aware of the impact of Covid-19 on our day-to-day lives, including lives of our school-going children.

“Government has responded by coming up with digital solutions such as e-learning, a solution pivoted on the ability of our school-going learners to access ICT equipment and internet connectivity,” he said.

“The creation of a digital economy will be achieved only if we create universal access to ICTs for all our citizens regardless of their location.”

Dr Muswere said Zimbabwe’s ability to attain Vision 2030 as enunciated by President Mnangagwa “rests on how well trained our people are”.
