Technology knows no bounds, so goes the old cliché.

Imagine being able to determine what your child can become when they grow up.

Strange as it may sound, this technology which enables parents to acquire knowledge on a child’s strength and weaknesses is now available in Zimbabwe, heralding a new phenomenon in the educational sector.

Dubbed the Brain Checker, the system makes use of Dermatoglyphics, by using fingerprints to identify a person’s potential.

Dermatoglyphics is the scientific study of the patterns on an individual’s finger prints, which decodes the most accurate multiple intelligences of one’s character, talents, strengths and weaknesses.

Using the latest technology and scientific methods, Brain Checker can provide the most accurate character and talent analysis for an individual by just taking a fingerprint sample.

Mr Innocent Nzvenga, one of the directors of Brain Checker said Zimbabwe has become the first country in Africa to acquire the system.

“We have become the first organisation to establish the Brain Checker in Africa. We are a member of Brain Checker Global, a leading dermatoglyphics company in the world based on development of human mental and physical well-being,” he said.

Mr Nzvenga said the Brain Checker has an accuracy rate of up to 95 percent in determining the natural talents of a person.

“As our fingerprints do not change with time and are not affected by our moods or environment, the accuracy of analysis can be as high as 95 percent.

“One thing that the Brain Checker measures that most assessments do not is natural talent,” Mr Nzvenga said.

He added that the Brain Checker also helps adults in unveiling their strengths at work and also their hidden traits to understand themselves better and to fully harness their potential.

Apart from that, it is also useful in the recruitment process, allocation of tasks as well as in training.

According to Mr Nzvenga, the Brain Checker has distinct advantages over other personality tests.

“Brain Checker analysis is a combination of various studies of the individual and so it is more objective and therefore more accurate.

“It is arguably the study that does not involve paper-based assessment questions and answers in which the individual exercises their mind to think of possible consequences of certain responses.”

Mr Nzvenga said to date, hundreds of Zimbabweans have already taken the Brain Checker test which is still available in Harare only.

Brain Checker testing is mostly practised in Malaysia.
