Dr Killer Zivhu

Chivi Rural District Council chair Dr Killer Zivhu says he is now ripe for Parliament, having served as councillor for many years.

Dr Zivhu said President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Zanu-PF were assured of thunderous victory in the district given his record of fostering peace and economic development.

He said this after donating 2 000 bags of cement to 50 schools in Chivi South last Friday.

“I do not want to hide anything. The fact is that this time around, I am standing as a candidate for Chivi South. I have been working in harmony with the incumbent National Assembly representative here, my brother Cde Maphios Utete, doing a number of projects with him. “However, I have decided to join the race. I now feel that I am ready to represent you as your MP after serving as a councillor and president of councillors for many years.”

Dr Zivhu also said, “I will lobby for free education for children living with disabilities and those from poor backgrounds. It is a foregone conclusion that Zanu-PF will win in Chivi South and the district at large. Our party’s main thrust is development and our President is fully behind that. I want to assure him that his votes are well secured here.”

Present at the handover were Chief Nemauzhe, Headman Shindi, Chivi district education inspector Mr Isaac Gwamuri, Gutu district administrator Mr Wafios Hlavati (standing in for Masvingo Provincial Affairs Minister Josiah Hungwe), school heads and councillors.
