THE House of Prayer for All Nations (HOPFAN) interdenominational church will commemorate its 10th anniversary with a special thanksgiving service in Harare today.

HOPFAN, which was established in 2013, is headed by Prophetess Beaullah Machiri and Pastor Tanyaradzwa Machiri. They are also the founders of the church.

“We are a Bible-based, healing and deliverance ministry built on Isaiah 56 verse 7.

“HOPFAN is a growing church where the power of Jesus Christ is displayed through numerous testimonies,” said Prophetess Machiri.

“Our motivation is derived from the plight of people, who are suffering from a lot of health, livelihood, marital and financial problems, especially in the low-income and high-density areas.”

The ministry, which was at some point stationed in Epworth, is now headquartered in the city centre.

“The journey has not been an easy one but we are here now, so we take this time to give thanks to the Lord.

“Giving as we receive has been the pillar of strength in the ministry, which was birthed from reaching out to the poor, both in spirit and physical needs,” added Prophetess Machiri.

The anniversary is being celebrated under the theme “Together we can help alleviate poverty”.

HOPFAN is also involved in philanthropy, as it runs a canteen that feeds orphans, the elderly and the destitute in different areas every Thursday and Sunday. The congregation also gives hampers to the needy every month.
