AUTHOR and motivational speaker Imelda Tsumba recently published a book titled “Marriage”, which she said is aimed at teaching morality, unity and peace to married couples.

The new book, according to Tsumba, was inspired by real-life experiences.

With 44 books to her credit, Tsumba said she felt the need to write a book on marriage.

“I started writing about two decades ago, and I had never written anything on the marriage institution. There has been an increase in the number of divorce cases and this also pushed me to write this book,” Tsumba said.

Most marriages are breaking down because couples are not being counselled beforehand, she added.

Meanwhile, budding author Evermore Kangani has also released a new book titled “The Power of Prayer”.

A nurse by profession, 25-year-old Kangani is also a preacher with the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe.

She is also a member of the church’s compassion group called the “Wounded Healers”.

Kangani said the “The Power of Prayer” seeks to inspire readers to always turn to prayers no matter what situation they are in.

According to the author, there has been a positive response to the book from readers.

“I was pleasantly surprised by the positive responses. I am truly humbled,” said Kangani.

She emphasised the importance of prayer in one’s life.

“My mother taught me how to pray. She taught me that, with prayers, all things are made possible,” she said.

Asked if she was contemplating ditching her nursing profession and become a full-time author, Kangani said she might one day be tempted to do so.

“If it is God’s will, I will gladly and joyfully do so. I will have to pray for guidance.”
