Africa Albida Tourism (AAT) holiday homes for each and every pocket size have helped boost arrivals in Victoria Falls.
Proper accommodation is a requisite for any serious traveller.
AAT operates the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls Safari Suites, Victoria Falls Safari Club and Lokuthula Lodges.
Their award winning luxurious hotels and lodges, all located in the resort town of Victoria Falls are tailor-made.
The whole site housing the facilities is a perfect setting for any holidaymaker.
Situated about five kilometers from the falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the facilities have magnificent surrounds.
They offer spectacular wildlife sightings and a perfect view of the sunset.
AAT group operations director Andy Conn notes their product is market specific as it addresses unique tastes.
“Basically we cater for everyone. We have products designed for the whole family, individuals/couples etcetera. We also have different packages that our guests can choose from,” said Conn.
Victoria Falls Safari Club
This is an exclusive five star 20 room hotel facility offering all sorts of services one can dream of.
It is best suited for big spenders.
The hotel just like the other facilities overlooks the Zambezi National Park where one gets a daily opportunity to see an assortment of wild animals, big five members included, either grazing or quenching their thirst in a man-made waterhole.
The Club boasts of viewing deck, a fine dining restaurant, lounge, bar, swimming pools and a fitness room.
All rooms have a complimentary minibar that is restocked daily, laundry service, hairdryer, coffee and Nespresso machines.
In addition, the rooms have air-conditioning and ceiling fans, mosquito nets, complimentary Wi-Fi and a wide range of customised toiletries.
Guests at the Club have access to every other facility and service at the overall Victoria Falls Safari estate but this does not apply to holidaymakers booked in other lodges or hotels.
Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
The lodge is one of AAT’s most popular facilities with travellers. The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge gives a perfect view of the sunset.
Guests have an option of enjoying the splendid views either in the comfort of their rooms or at MaKuwa-Kuwa restaurant, the Buffalo Bar, swimming pool or while working out in the fitness room.
This facility is made up of 72 rooms all with a balcony.
It also has a minibar but this one is not complimentary as is the case at the Club.
Couples, especially those on a honeymoon will enjoy this facility more.
Victoria Falls Safari Suites
This facility is characterised by two and three-bedroom sunset-facing suites.
If you are planning a holiday as a family or a business or social group, this will be your ideal booking.
Each of the Safari Suites boast of a Master Gallery Bedroom upstairs with glass sliding doors leading to a private balcony.
The other two bedrooms are located downstairs with each one of them carrying two three-quarter beds, which can be converted into a king size bed.
Also, a sofa bed in the television lounge can accommodate an extra person preferably a child below 12 years.
Other features include en-suite bathrooms, with either a walk-in rainfall shower or a bath and separate shower.
The lounge has floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, a table, chairs and a garden umbrella.
AAT sales and marketing coordinator Matina Sangwene said, “Families cannot have enough of the Safari Suites and Lokuthula Lodges. It is like you are home away from home. We recommend these for groups of close people. The facility is conducive for bonding of any sort.”
Lokuthula Lodges
The lodges may be booked on a full self-catering or bed and breakfast basis.
Guests who book on a bed and breakfast get to experience The Boma Café’s magic.
In addition there is a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge, terrace, braai area, three-tiered swimming pool, children’s playground and a volleyball court.
Two sofa beds in the lounge, which may be used to accommodate two extra people.
Residents lounge with satellite television is situated above The Boma Café.
Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and laundry services are available throughout the estate.
Lokuthula means a place of peace.
