Mufakose 2 High School
The story of one Victor Ndakumareya,an unassuming teenage prodigy who grew up in the remote area of Chireya in Gokwe before he landed at Mufakose 2 High School in Harare thanks to a good Samaritan whom he repaid with 20 points after scoring distinctions in Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science and Business Studies sounds surreal to many.

Having grown up in Gokwe under the care of his grandparents who passed away before he was 15, he wrote his Ordinary Level examinations whilst looking after his uncle who was on the dark side of social life.

Life was difficult for he did all the tasks that a grown up is expected to do. Even though life was difficult, his big break came in the year 2017.

He came to Harare and was enrolled at Mufakose 2 High School and despite all he had gone through, Victor managed to outshine all his fellow classmates as he came top of the class.

Victor, the genius got As in all subjects. Although it was a bumpy road filled with obstacles Victor persevered and he got 20 points. Hard work truly pays off.

At the end of the day Victor was not the only one who excelled, there were also others that did their best and passed.

There is also a young man called Takudzwa Kutama who got 19 points and he was doing sciences subjects, Lillian Mtambuwa who got 20 points for commercial subjects and lastly the 2018 school headgirl Aquiline Chitawu who got 14 points.

They all did their best. Well done guys for showing us the way and putting our school on the map.
