COLOUR events have become a prominent feature on the local leisure scene, always attracting hundreds of participants.

On August 24, the Harare Colour Sprint takes centre stage at the Borrowdale Racecourse.

This time around, organisers have added a foam element to the mix.  Expectations are that the second edition of this particular event will be bigger and better than last year’s edition.

Colour events are always exhilarating, especially for kids who enjoy playing around with colours and in this instance, bubbles as well.

According to DJ Dee Nosh, the organisers’ spokesperson, this time around there will be more colour stations on the five-kilometre track. Coloured bubble zones are set to add more fun to the affair.

After the run, the party will continue with numerous entertainers set to keep participants on their feet. Everyone must come prepared to dance the day away.

“There is colour lounging at the finish line, a festival of sorts with live music and some other forms of entertainment. Those coming need both dancing shoes and running sneakers. lt’s a whole new level of fun, never seen before here in Zimbabwe,” said DJ Dee Nosh.

The first 500 people to enter will receive goodie bags.

Tickets are already on sale at various outlets.
