FREDDY “Kapfupi” Manjalima, the popular comedian-cum-musician, has re-joined hands with fellow comedian and radio personality Tafadzwa Ben (DJ Shugeta) in a bid to fill the void left by Charles “Marabha” Merisi.

Kapfupi and Marabha parted ways last year after some disagreements.

However, in the past, Kapfupi has also worked with DJ Shugeta, with the duo later separating amicably.
“Some people are asking me if I will be able to have the same impact that I had when I was working with Marabha. Life has to go on with or without Marabha. I have worked with Shugeta before and I know that he is capable,” Kapfupi said.

DJ Shugeta confirmed his new working relationship with the Epworth-based artiste.

“I have worked with Kapfupi before and we both know what is expected from us. We are currently polishing up a number of acts which we are going to release any time this year,” he said.

Manjalima is best known for his drama series “Notorious Kapfupi’’ and “Mai Nga.’’

Like most artistes, he has had to grapple with the Covid-19-induced economic challenges.

“I normally perform at weddings and other social gatherings. The advent of the coronavirus seriously affected my source of livelihood. I am praying that this year the situation improves,” he said.

The comedian is presently learning the ropes on social media in order to use the platforms to attract new fans and increase earnings.

“When it comes to the use of the social media platforms, I can say that I am very far behind. I am in the process of exploring how I can best exploit social media.”
