Nowadays, brides and grooms have various options when it comes to shopping for either a wedding dress or suit.
The options range from the traditional showroom experience to the online hunt.
However, most couples are going for the latter route, searching for their attire on the internet and purchasing it online.

While a lot of options are available online, one does not have the opportunity to try on the dress or jacket before the purchase.
Some brides end up in tumultuous moments, running to local bridal boutiques a day before the wedding in search of a replacement after being let down by online purchases.
I have attended weddings where many brides looked like a “humpty dumpty” (no pun intended) in a wedding gown they would have purchased online. And not to be outdone were the grooms in oversized or small jackets.
Nothing can cause more discomfort than discovering just before or on the wedding day that you have ordered an ill-fitting attire.
Imagine the ugly images on Facebook and family chat groups!
As much as it is a fact that online shopping brings so much fun and convenience as one will not have to move from one corner of the town to the other, the million dollar question is: does the convenience or pleasure you get by hunting down your own dress online outweigh the traditional approach?
Holding all other things constant, a wedding dress should fill a woman with explosive joy. It should satisfy some deep-seated, long-held craving.
It should possess qualities that make by-standers weep with happiness. Expectations are higher for your wedding dress than for any other garment you will ever buy.
At times, the shopping experience is fraught with emotion and for serious introvert shoppers it can be stressful. Interestingly, most brides gamble with that dress.
However, if you give it a thought after all the wedding hassles, you will realise that you tormented yourself for months over a piece of clothing that could have been obtained through much easier means.
If you visit your local bridal parlour, you will certainly discover that some ever-present helper could have made your life easy by sprinting to your side equipped with a bunch of dress clips, a pair of heels and all the other necessities.
However, if you are a private person who enjoys hours of solitary browsing, online shopping has its own bliss and is a worthwhile adventure. The payoff is zero pressure and you could save money and time.
You will also enjoy less interaction with those salespersons who can be annoying at times.
