Upgrade to GTEL in 2017

The Sunday Mail

THE year 2016 has come to an end. It was a year of exciting smart-phone releases from Gtel. The top smart-phone company unleashed more than seven different models to cater for its different clientele.

The smart-phones released by Gtel in 2016 ranged from entry level smart-phones to high-end smart-phones.

The Gtel XL7 was introduced in March 2016.

This smart-phone was the first device to be equipped with 32GB of storage space with a ram capacity of 3GB. It was gold in colour and consumers quickly grabbed it.

The next high end phone — the Gtel SL8 — was launched during ZITF 2016. It was the first device to come with one touch finger print sensor for added security.

Since this was an upgrade from the XL7, it came with double the storage space, 64GB.

This device housed a 16 mega-pixel back camera and a staggering 8 mega-pixel front camera.

The newest feature on this phone was video editor, this meant that one could take videos and edit them on the go.

By public demand Gtel brought back the X3 which proved to be one of the best ever devices made for the Zimbabwean market. This device had first been introduced in November 2015.

Consumers loved the Gtel X3 mainly because of its powerful battery.

The X3 boasts a beastly 6020mAH battery.

This means 50 days of standby, four days of light-usage, two and a half days of continuous talk-time, one full day of continuous movie watching, 20 hours of heavy internet usage and six days of continuous music play.

With its reverse charging technology, one can use the device as a full functional power bank.

Special features

It has the on-the-go cable to charge other phones simultaneously at super fast speeds

You can use the IR Blaster feature to turn the X3 into a smart remote for controlling your TV, AC and other compatible devices

It has privacy protection making it possible to secure all your important files, images and videos from access by anyone

It supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS connectivity on both sim cards.

Gtel then signed off 2016 with the launch of the X4. This was the highlight of their 2016 journey. The launch was broadcasted live on ZTV and millions of Zimbabweans witnessed the unveiling of this new device.

It was their first 6.0 inch device. This device was sold out in three weeks.

We had the opportunity to meet with their brand manager Mr Tanaka Muradzi and he had this to say, “The market does not know what it wants until you give it to them.

The Gtel brand has grown over the years and we will continue to bring in new gadgets with different and amazing features.

The year 2017 will be a different year, we will change the way you communicate”.
