SOUTH AFRICAN based award winning gospel artist, Reverend Tapera Toggy Chivariro, will share the stage with local gospel greats Charles Charamba and Mechanic Manyeruke as part of the Ebenezer Celebrations next weekend.

Renowned gospel artists Kudzi Nyakudya, Bethen Pasinawako-Ngolomi and Rumbi Zvirikuzhe will also be part of the gospel music jamboree that is set for the Harare Gardens on September 17.

The Sunday Mail Religion caught up with Reverend Chivaviro last week and he said the show will be a blessed atmosphere for his fans who continue to grow numerically.

“The Ebenezer Celebrations are meant to celebrate our Africans Awards with our home fans who have been supporting us amazingly.

“We are inviting all the families who have been blessed by the song Ebenezer to come and share their joy with us. The song has gone global as attested by close to a million views on YouTube” said Rev Chivariro.

He said many people from in and outside Harare have shown interest in the gospel show.

The multiple-award winner is also set to tour Australia.

Last month, he held a joint show with South African gospel music giant Sipho Makhabane in the United Kingdom.

Artisan records manager, Mr Allan Dzobo, who handles Reverend Chivaviro’a affairs, bemoaned piracy.

“Millions of people were blessed by this hit song but unfortunately due to piracy, the artist has nothing much to show for it. Let’s use the celebrations to at least thank the artiste and his team for a job well done,” he said.
