When l look at it now…
It’s true you reap what you sow.
The fox in him was so sly;
Lie after lie,
I began to cry;
Many questions came like why?
And was l still that apple pie?
My heart was partitioned.
He had gathered the right ammunition.
We moved from doubt, suspicion let alone lack of trust,
That was the transition.
The mind and heart where in juxtaposition.
We needed to fix this!! That was the ambition.
The animal in him was not adaptable.
I thought l could smuggle his heart.
One struggle l just had to dessert.
I hoped I could change him.
I planned my great skim
Which sadly lead me to this time.
My skim was incomplete
Once a cheat always a cheat
This was one thing l could not repeat
The tears stopped the day l pressed the button ‘’delete’’
I had to stop this deceit.
