September is your birthing month

The Sunday Mail

Pastor  Tinashe Zinyemba : Christian Youth

SEPTEMBER is the ninth month of the year, the number nine represents birth of new things (from the nine months it takes a woman to conceive and give birth).

Therefore l pray that as you pass through this season of birthing, you will harvest from the effort that you have put into your life, carrier, studies and relationships.

There is nothing like a good reward for hard work. May this be your season of birthing.

In Matthew 13, Jesus gave us a parable of a thief who sow weeds where a farmer had sown wheat (Matthew 13: 25).

During the course of the year, you may have faced challenges, maybe someone stabbed you in the back or cheated you. Maybe you lost your job or had some form of career set back.

I am not sure what kind of weed was sown in your field, however l encourage you not to give up.

Pick yourself up and dust your clothes. Continue to work hard for this is your season to harvest (Galatians 6 :7-8).

Whatever evil seeds the devil has sown in your life, we declare crop failure. May your seeds of righteousness bloom and bear you much fruit.

Over the past few weeks, l have been talking about how you can develop your character.

We as believers are representatives of Heaven on Earth, our character must reflect Christ at all times.

l am not talking about being weaklings and door mats for everyone to trample over. l’m talking about being exemplary in behaviour, exhibiting responsibility and leadership in every way.

Luke 2:52 has been the anchor scripture.

The scripture used three distinct elements to depict the growth of Jesus’ character, namely wisdom, stature and favour.

It is unfortunate that some of our actions can ruin our reputation for the rest of our lives. For example, if someone is caught stealing for one reason or another, no matter what they will do to reform, they might be labelled a thief forever.

In John 20, Thomas doubts that Jesus is alive and up until today, we label him as the doubting Thomas. Yet Thomas later went to India and preached the gospel and did many mighty things there.

In fact, there are churches still there to this day that were built by Apostle Thomas. Imagine if Thomas had chosen to remain subdued by the label “doubting Thomas”. There are many examples of actions that can create permanent bad tags for us. There are many people who find themselves in this position and they might see no need to work on their character because of this.

However, that is far from the truth, God still has plans for you.

It is never too late to turn a new leaf, nothing beats a clear conscience and living right.

Being responsible is the way to go.

ln Judges 13:24-25, Samson had the world in his hands and God was using him mightily but he got lost along the way.

When he was down and out, he remembered God and he was restored. Choose to live right, choose to work on your character, it will not be easy but it will definitely be worth it.

Till next time, God bless.
