Although the Rastafarian Faith and Movement is very much related to the Christian religion and all Abrahamic religions by roots and so on, it is unique in many ways.

One of the eloquent elements being and cornerstone to the universe is the aspect of Goddess.

Use of the infinite standardised versions of the Holy Bible is common amongst brethren and sisters.

This is so since western orientated versions are basically very much one sided and extremely macho in nature.

Consider a single male leader with twelve male followers or a father with twelve sons. A fair ratio of one is to twelve is standard and accepted normal behaviour. If any females are to be thought of then there are number thirteen.

Giving thanks and praises to the father and the son while ignoring the mother and the daughter just as if they do not exist does not fit the true Alpha and Omega concept.

The month of March is when the Rastafarian community in all its radiance celebrates and reveres the eternal life of Her Imperial Majesty, Queen of Queens Empress Wayzaro Menen.

Since the faith is balanced male equal to female, in all the history of Ethiopia, it is only this couple that coronated Emperor and Empress in one splendid ceremony, the greatest of the millennium.

The last remark is testimony deliberately confessed by the internationally acclaimed media power house, Times Magazine who documented the graceful processions with honour.

They also declared his Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I the first man of the year, 1930.

The ancient tale of King Solomon and Kandake (Candice) Makeda the Queen of Sheba came back to life in the just ended twentieth century.

Should you be reminded Emperor Haile Selassie is direct descendant of King Solomon of Israel popularly hailed simply as the wisest King ever. The same genealogy of God promised he would appear in, root and offspring of King David.

Since there is no day without light we do not perceive a God without a Goddess , a right hand with no left and vice versa.

The existence and conception of Goddess is not a new discovery and negative or evil philosophy. It is the highest form of praising and worshipping the contributions of women in mind, body and spirit, the power of the trinity.

Sekhmet the Lioness in Ancient Nubia, Maddona and child, all black and Ethiopian.

Indeed these are ‘normal’ human beings trodding in the flesh, blasphemy, how now are they gods? Dear brethren and sisters, members of the faith, he who knows it feels it, and he who feels it knows it.

We need no explanation. Aspirants and skeptics, pay attention. Behold, I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.

The Holy Bible clearly states that God is personally the first King as well as the last King to sit on David’s throne.

The Emperor and Empress are the last reigning Monarchs of the glorious Solomonic dynasty which is no more courtesy due to tyranny, greed, corruption and mass murder.

It is technically accurate to title Empress Menen Queen Omega for indeed she is the last Queen to reign on this Holy Throne no doubt, inherited directly from the Queen of Sheba her black self.

Truly defining the Empress as the Goddess is simple and sincerely a subject matter of faith in its purest forms, one of those things Rastafarians own in exceeding abundance.

All Ethiopians must ululate for she was born on the 25th day of March 1883 in Wollo Province, in the Ambassel region in the Egua area.

Princess of royal blood fathered by one Ras Jantirar Asfaw and mothered by Woizero Sehin Michael. Baptised in Saint Delba George Church and given the Christian name Wolete Giorgis.

Her name Menen is given to the most beautiful respected ladies in Ethiopia, the apple of God’s eye.

Woizero or Wayzaro is to be translated directly as princess, a title automatically bestowed upon all Rastafarian females.

In life, the Empress was active in promoting women’s issues in Ethiopia, patroness of the Ethiopian Red Cross, and the Ethiopian Women’s Charitable Organisation.

She was also the patroness of the Jerusalem Society that arranged for pilgrimages to the Holy Land (Israel). She founded the Empress Menen School for Girls in Addis Ababa, the first all girls school to receive a modern education, encouraged by the Empress who visited it often and presided over its graduation ceremonies.

Remember the Empire was in transition, transforming from ancient to modern, concepts most clergy and noble leaders frowned at and preferred preserving long established traditional forms.

In context, sending girls to school was a certified complete waste of time.

Peace be upon us all.
