UNITED Family International Church leader, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa on Wednesday morning delivered a condolence message during Mr Samson Mudzanire’s memorial service at Doves Funeral Parlour.
The late Mr Mudzanire is father to Prophet Uebert Angel, the leader of Spirit Embassy Ministries which was rebranded to Good News Church.
Prophet Uebert Angel is based in the United Kingdom.
News of Mr Mudzanire’s death spread through social media on Monday. He was 80.
Prophet Makandiwa was accompanied by his wife Prophetess Ruth during the service where his close companion, Prophet Angel, was acknowledged in absentia.
Addressing mourners gathered for the memorial service, Prophet Makandiwa delivered a message based on 1 Thessalonians 4 v 13.
“Kurara kwababa hakuchemedze vana ndokunge vachiziva kuti varara. Sekuru vedu havana kufa, iri ibhachi ratasiirwa rakutinetsa kuti toripeta sei, totangira papi asi varipo. Mangwana mangwanani tinenge tiinavo zvakare, izvozvi kwavari vanotoona zvavo variko kuzotadza kutaura nesu(The earthly death of a father doesn’t trouble his children that is if they know he is just sleeping. Our grandfather didn’t die, it is just his body which has been left to us and we are having challenges on how to deal with. Tomorrow morning we shall be with him again, right now wherever he is he is seeing everything but he just cannot talk to us),” Prophet Makandiwa said.
Mr Mudzanire will be buried on Thursday in Zaka, Masvingo Province.
