Did you see the DeMbare brigade dripping with drums of vitriol after I lampooned some of them for backing TP Mazembe ahead of Makepekepe’s epic Caf Champions League tie at the National Sports Stadium?

Sir doesn’t expect everyone to like him, he is not money.
I am praying for the guys who insulted me, I want them to live longer because the Lord sets a table before one’s enemies.
I am also praying for the fine journalists who are accused of being Yours Truly, Makomborero, Sharuko, Mike Madoda, and Alois Bunjira to mention just four unfortunate souls.
And speaking of the spiritual, Prophet Walter Magaya’s PHD Ministries was in touch over the instalment headlined “Magaya, do you need these bouncers?” which featured in this prime corner on the fifth of this month.
PHD’s information officer Lovemore Chamisa wrote: “ First of all before I delve into the details of my story Sir, allow me to comment (sic, commend) you for (the) high level of professionalism you exhibit in your weekly stories.
“Only a few weeks ago, you penned a story ‘Give Warriors to Magaya.’ You will agree with me that a lot of this paper’s readers either thought you are a member of PHD Ministries or, that you were currying for favours from the Man of God. (I have my own Papa).
“This week’s story have (sic, has) revealed that you call a spade a spade, an important attribute in ethical journalism.
“Yesterday you were heaping praises on the Man of God, today you are condemning an act you purport to have been committed by the Man of God’s associates. I salute you for the professionalism.
“Back to this week’s story, it is on record that Prophet W Magaya the founder and leader of PHD Ministries and Yadah Stars Football Club is a principled leader who subscribes to the dictates of the Word of God, and the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
“He respects, and is bound by the legal frameworks and statutes regulating football. He is against any form of lawlessness; and violence in the beautiful game of football is not spared.
“The incident that happened at Alex Sports Club was uncalled for and actually disturbed the man of God. Prophet Magaya continues to suffer injury to his reputation and good standing in society because of these faceless criminals who commit crimes in the man of God’s name.
“The people who you refer to be Prophet Magaya’s bodyguards are neither his bodyguards nor known PHD Ministries partners. They do not exist in the ministries’ staff records, neither do they exist in the partners’ database.
“Joint investigations between our internal security and police are in progress to find out who these people were, their mission at Alex Sports Club on this particular day, and what motivated them to attack a football lover, a prospective supporter of our newly promoted team to the PSL.
“For your own information, despite the fact that both the thugs and the victim were unknown to the man of God, Prophet W Magaya actually played the Good Samaritan role in dispatching his Yadah Stars medical team to attend to the victim. Further, he availed his own funds and vehicle to carry the gentleman to the hospital. He always live (sic, lives) what he preaches.
“Sketchy details at hand so far are indicating that those thugs were drunk, as a ministry we do not subscribe to alcoholism; they were very violent even prior to the scuffle, as a ministry we preach tolerance and coexistence. It is rare to see a church member drunk and behaving violently in the presence of his/her leader. We are therefore tempted to conclude that these were not our associates. Detailed report of the joint investigations will be released as soon as all facts are at hand.
“In conclusion, allow me to reiterate that Prophet Magaya is a law abiding citizen who does not condone any form of lawlessness by those close to him or any member of the society.”
