WHEN fliers were sent out for a single ladies all-night prayer, Prophetess Memory Matimbire attracted a lot of criticism from most people.

Many of her critics pointed out that society is putting too much pressure on the girl child to get married. It is as if those who are not married are inadequate.

Nevertheless, Prophetess Matimbire was adamant and hosted her oversubscribed “Dhadhinhiwa-Operation Munhu ngaaroorwe” all-night prayer.

The 39-year-old Daughters of Virtue (DOV) church leader said the single ladies prayer meeting was an assignment from God. She said it was highly sucessful.

“Eve was plucked out of Adam’s rib, which shows that women are part of men. God saw it fit that man should not fornicate, hence He said each one should have his wife, so marriage is biblical,” said Prophetess Matimbire.

“The Bible clearly states that two are better than one and this shows that marriage is an essential part of human life.

“The Word of God says go and multiply. This can only happen if one is married.”

She went on, “This all-night prayer meeting was a special task from God to bless single women with marriage. We believe that the marriages will manifest physically.

“We believe that all things first happen in the spirit world before they manifest in the physical. The devil is responsible for causing delays, that’s why we are fighting for marriages. Tadhinhiwa Mwari nekubatirwa michato yedu muchadenga naSatan.”

Prophetess Matimbire said all-night prayers always yield positive results.

“I am here to spiritually empower women and revive dying marriages. All is done through a strong prayer life,” she said.

“We have started a revolution to change people’s lives. I trust God, He will changes things. Those who are not married will soon be blessed because God always answer prayers.”

One the single ladies who attended the all-night prayer, Ms Edith Machapa, said after the prayer meeting, she is noticing positive changes in her relationship.

“I was invited to Prophetess Matimbire’s service for deliverance. Since then, I am making good progress and my traditional wedding is coming soon.”

Thirty-seven years old Ms Locadia Musapenda of Mutare said, “I was struggling to settle down but things are promising. ”
