THE Zimbabwe Soccer Coaches Association chairman Bhekimpilo Nyoni will be a very busy man this week.
Nyoni will take charge of a Zifa Level One coaching course at Oriel Boys High School in the capital while a few kilometers away, his BN Academy will be offering its traditional holiday coaching clinics.
Both programmes are expected to come to life tomorrow with the BN clinics expected to attract scores of youngsters at Belgravia Sports Club.
Nyoni revealed that the Level One coaching course is mainly targeting school teachers and football players who want to venture into coaching after they hang up their boots.
“This is the first step to coaching so we will go through the basic stuff such as planning and preparing for a session as well as the training methods.
“We have deliberately scheduled this course during the school holidays because we want to get as many teachers as we can. It must be appreciated that there is no development to talk of when we don’t involve the teachers,” he said.
With both the Level One coaching course and the BN sessions kicking off tomorrow, Nyoni explained how he will juggle the two.“BN is not about Nyoni, it’s an organisation that has structures and qualified personnel,” he said.
“Clayton Munemo will take overall charge of the clinic and will be assisted by our coaches Steve Chikodzi, Gilbert Mushangazhike and Anthony Vheriwa.
“They are the guys who will work with the boys and they bring a wealth of experience. Without blowing our own trumpet I can humbly say that very soon the boys, the diamonds we have been polishing over the past three years will soon be catching the attention of the nation.
“As for myself, all my attention is on the Level One coaching course where I will be assisted by former Black Rhinos man Sammy Mavenyengwa.”
