The National Blood Service Zimbabwe has partnered His Presence Ministries International to collect blood from donors at the church’s conference scheduled for April.

Running under the theme “Building Strong Families”, HPMI’s five-day conference will begin on April 8 at the Harare Showgrounds.

It is during this period that the NBSZ will have a chance to boost their blood bank through a partnership with the local church.

In a statement, the founding leaders of the church Apostles Charles and Petunia Chiriseri said this partnership is part of HPMI’s effort to remain relevant.

“Throughout the conference, The National Blood Service Zimbabwe will be collecting blood from willing donors as part of HPMI’s continued effort to be relevant.

“The 2015 conference theme is topical and key to the health of the nation.

“Families are under attack, divorce rates are increasing, stress-related sicknesses, diseases and deaths are on the rise as a result of domestic fights and unhappiness at home. Gender-based violence is on the increase.

“The push for tolerance, divorce and alternative lifestyles is strong. “The anti- Christ spirit is using the media to bombard society into liberalism, especially our youth and children in a bid to persuade them about the so called modern family. Sexual exposure is promoting rape, incest, live-ins and casual sex. Immoral lifestyles are promoted on the internet, with better and faster networks in universities, on television and social media the family values are being eroded daily.

“We believe that it is the mandate of the church to teach, model and uphold family values; to build strong families in order to build strong churches and a stronger nation,” the statement read.

HPMI said its strategy is to approach the corrective teachings from a “prevention is better than cure” philosophy where they address youths who happen to be the majority in most churches.

“The 12 FOM book that we co-authored will be used to teach on marriage, finding a suitable marriage partner and mending broken relationships.”

Other than the sessions in which the word of God will be taught, preached and healing ministered, the conference highlights will include, two separate forums dubbed “The Mighty Men of Valour” and “The Shekinah Women’s Unforgettable Woman Forum”.

Apart from music and dance competitions also lined up is a talk show on social media and family time.

HPMI has on previous conferences played host to international speakers like Pastors Matthew and Yemisi Ashimolowo, gospel singer Deitrick Haddon among others.
