My rock meeting harvests

The Sunday Mail

0705-2-1-BRADLEYI attended a girls’ rock meeting hosted by Farayi Africa over the holidays and I learnt a lot. Now I know that wherever you are can make a difference in someone’s life or in the nation.

This can help you have a better view of what you are good at. In order to succeed you should let your goals be bigger than you, let your goals or mission benefit someone and let your goals outlive you.

You should always commit your plans to God and everything will work out for your own good.

Retreat from being a person who learns from his or her own mistakes. Build yourself with prayer. Build faith in yourself, believe in God and pray always.

Recognise yourself and know the things you are good and bad at. Meet your goals and work hard to achieve them. Talking to someone who loves and understands you helps.

Have confidence in yourself. Love yourself for who you are and be open. Never compare yourself with other people because you will end up doing the things you are not good at.

You must deal with situations because if you don’t you might lose opportunities to excel in life. You must surround yourself with positive people and avoid having negative thoughts when facing a difficult situation.

Life may be tough but know that you are tougher than it is because with God we are more than conquerors.

Always try new things in life. Use the little resources you have in order to make an impact on someone’s life.

Create your own opportunities in life and make connections wherever you are. Know that you can make inspirations from anywhere

Lisa Chiriseri encouraged us to join a campaign for education under the #UpForSchool which was commissioned by the UN secretary general.

The campaign is a global effort bringing together all players in society to appeal and push for the prioritisation of education for all and give children access to safe education as promised by our leaders at the UN summit when the MDGs were formed.
