Prophet Blessing Bondera —
It’s been about two years since I have come to really know Caps United through Brenna Msiska. At that time, he had a role at the club.

So we met in Mabvuku during our prayer services. I prophesied to him and after that he accepted Jesus Christ. He invited Caps United manager, Mr (Shakespeare) Chinogwenya, after testifying how his life was changing.

Last year, the Caps United manager invited a lot of players and I prophesied to them that God was going to prosper them. When the players saw the changes that were happening to the manager and the coach, they followed.

We ended up having most of the players coming to church and receiving deliverance from God. I even prophesied to them at the beginning of this year that in everything they would do, they would prosper.

They believed and followed the prophecies, fasting and praying on mountain tops. They didn’t come as people looking for miracles but they also gave their life to Jesus Christ.

From then, there were prophecies that when they play, God would give them grace to win. Before they went for any match I would pray for them. The manager is now an elder in our church and the coach is a deacon. Others have roles in the church.

So by working for God, He started blessing them. They never went for charms or sangomas, they gave their life to Jesus Christ. Football is believed to have a foundation in traditional beliefs, but they came to understand that God can and is able to do it.

So when they came and with their lives changing, it really brought faith to others. Now they believe that whatever is impossible with man is possible with God. So in other words, they have rejuvenated the faith of others in church.

Even to me as a prophet it has given me faith and it has strengthened the level of my faith. Before the memorable derby with Dynamos, I prophesied the Wednesday prior that it was going to be a bit tough but God was going to help them through.

I said in the second half there was going to be a very big miracle and they were not to lose hope. I was not watching the game live but we assign pastors specifically to follow through and give us updates in everything that will be happening.

I think this was about 15 minutes before the match ended. I told the manager that I was seeing a mist covering them all but it was disappearing. I said I was seeing them on top of that mist celebrating.

In six minutes to the end of the match with Dynamos, they called and told me that they had been defeated home and away. It was during service when I told the manager that I was praying for them. I told them that within the few minutes left, they were going to see a miracle. And there was a shock, Caps managed to equalise.

People were not aware of what was happening. The players and l knew what was happening. No players were bought, it was the power of God. To them, it was a shock.

I believe the God who has taken them this far will always take them anywhere and I believe if they continue with that faith going forward, God will see them through.

Right now as they are playing at an international level, God is going to see them through because they are now making the word of God the standard of their life.
