Mwanjali starts, Gwekwerere benched

METHOD MWANJALI stands on the verge of inducting himself into the Caps United Hall of Fame, he stands on the verge of turning himself into an undisputed Makepekepe legend.
Just six days after being released from Remand Prison on bail Mwanjali, who is facing attempted murder charges, leads Caps United into the Harare Derby.
Psychologists would argue that a player who has been so much cannot possibly be in the right frame of mind to start a game that means so much without getting some counselling.
But this is Method Mwanjali we are talking about.
If there is man who can pull this off it’s the one they now call Mudhara Yellow at Makepekepe.
“The first thing he said when he was released from Remand (prison) on Monday was ‘I want to play against Dynamos’,” revealed a Caps United official.
Expectedly there was some concern over Mwanjali and Archford Gutu’s heads when they returned to training last week but it didn’t take long for both players to show that they are made of sterner stuff.
They grafted hard and coach Lloyd Chitembwe has responded with rewarding Mwanjali with a starting XI slot ahead of rookie Kudzai Nyamupfukudza.
Gutu makes the bench.
With Mwanjali being thrust into a defensive midfield role former skipper Moses Muchenje has been shunted wide right with Joel Ngodzo being the creative hub of a midfield that will also have Phineas Bhamusi providing width on the left flank.
Leonard Tsipa bounces back into the starting XI, slotting just behind Dominic Chungwa.
It’s as you where at the back with Jorum Muchambo in goal, Hardlife Zvirekwi at right back, Justice Jangano and Stephen Makatuka the centre halves and Ronald Pfumbidzai the left back.
At Dynamos Paulo Jorge Silva’s hunt for some teeth upfront has seen him settle for a man who has several missing.
Evans Gwekwerere is available for selection and could make the bench.
Roderick Mutuma, who came off the bench to score away in Mutare, replaces King Nasama in the starting lineup while Dominic Mukandi is in line to face his former paymasters.
Farai Mupasiri and Walter Mukanga are still on the sidelines as investigations into allegations that they smuggled a hooker into their hotel room while in Bulawayo are being investigated.
