WALTER MAGAYA makes some amusing comments when it comes to football and we have compiled the best of this year so far.

“I was surprised that even though I was with the team when we started this journey, paying for their trip to Malawi and their bonuses and other fees, the boys decided not to come and tell me that they were leaving for Gabon…they just needed to come and tell me that they were now going to Afcon and we pray together and ask for better results,” said Magaya as he commented on the Warriors disastrous show at Afcon 2017.

“I can’t understand why a player like Dennis Dauda didn’t make that team when all reports show that he was the best central defender in the second half of our Premiership campaign last year,” the PHD leader questions why Kallisto Pasuwa did not include Caps United defender Dennis Dauda in his Afcon squad.

“He is no longer with the team. I told him go back to your house. I told him to play this player and he said no I had a dream,” Magaya reveals the reasons why he suspended Jairos Tapera after the defeat to DeMbare. “You guys should probably give me an award all this interest in the league even among people who usually don’t even follow what is happening in the league,” the man finds the lighter side after his decision to let Yadah FC play without a technical team at Bantu Rovers causes a storm.

“I called the boys after the game and told them it wasn’t their fault. These are things that some of them, and some of you, might not understand and it is all spiritual …this was very powerful and it took a toll on my players,” Magaya reviews the 2-7 mauling by Bantu “spiritually.” “To be frank with you I was down when we lost to Dynamos, that is a defeat that affected me badly,” the Yadah FC owner opened up on the 0-1 defeat to Dynamos, his team’s first loss of the season.

“You are 40 something, 60 something but you come maybe 15, 16 yet you are a spiritual team. As I am preaching to you now what if your keeper is at a sangoma? What if your other defender is at another church? Then you want to go and represent my name,” Magaya is not amused by seeing only a handful of players at last Sunday’s church service, just 24 hours after they had played in Zvishavane.

“I know people were wondering how I could become technical adviser but I can tell you today that I am qualified for that job. I am qualified by the heavens,” Magaya reveals his “coaching qualifications” just before the start of the season.
