YADAH FC jumped two places out of the relegation zone after dismissing Bulawayo City in a Castle Premier League match played at the National sports Stadium yesterday.

They opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Munyaradzi Chiwara before Moses Demera converted from the spot on the stroke of half time.

Yadah FC caretaker coach Thomas Ruzive reckons this is the start of his team’s escape from the relegation axe.

“I am a relieved man. This is a welcome result for my side since time is no longer on our side. We badly needed the three points and we got them.

“This is the start of our survival journey and with the kind of performance exhibited by my team I am confident that we will survive relegation.”

Bulawayo City coach Mandla Mpofu sang the same tune.

“As a coach I am disappointed with the result as it leaves us deep in the relegation zone, a place where I believe we do not belong. I am not losing hope with the result because with the calibre of players that I have, we should be able to survive. I believe we can collect nine points from our remaining three matches and all we need is mental strength, which we lacked in this game,” he said.

Mpofu insists he is not worried that two of his team’s remaining matches are against Dynamos and Caps United.

“We are in this league to play every team in it, including Caps and Dynamos. We know what is at stake and are ready for the fight,” he said.
