Hwange.......................(0) 1
Rejuvinated Bulawayo premiership side Chicken Inn rediscovered their winning ways with a hard fought victory over visiting Hwange in an entertaining Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Luveve Stadium yesterday.

The first goal came in the 30th minute when Tendai Mukambi lurched onto a Kudakwashe Mahachi cross, beating Timothy Sibanda in goals for Hwange.
The goal seemed to have rejuvenated Chicken Inn’s adrenalin level as they took the game to their opponents and were duly rewarded with a free kick that was curled in by Danny Deco Phiri.

Hwange got the equalizer in the 60th minute courtesy of a Chinyengetere strike after some mix up in the home team’s box.
But that was not enough as the Gamecox fought hard to grab the winning goal at the stroke of full time when second half substitute Evans Chikwaikwai directed a thunderous effort past a hapless Sibanda at the death of the game.

In a post-match interview, Chicken Inn FC gaffer Adam Ndlovu commended his warriors for a job well done but expressed dissatisfaction with the calibre of back liners he had.
“We are very happy to have salvaged all; the maximum points in this encounter but it should be pointed out that it was only by the grace of god as we had many loopholes in the backline and we would have been sorry had Hwange utilised all those chances.”

Hwange technical manager Tenant Chilumba encouraged his troops not to despair but to lift their heads up high and map the way forward.
“We might have lost this game but it was rather an evenly balanced game and we will try to work very hard with these boys as most of them are still young and new to the game,” said Chilumba
