Sunday Mail Reporter Four armed robbers recently made off with over US$19 000 after disarming a security guard and killing his dog before using dynamite to blast a safe at N Richards Wholesalers in Jerera.
“They then ordered the security officer to lie facing downwards before they tied him with strings,” he said.
The security officer was rescued by a passerby who heard him call for help and the two made a police report. Insp Matake said a manhunt for the four robbers was on.
“It is also important for business people to note that it is much safer to bank their money as compared to keeping it at their promises,” he said. |
