WITH a few weeks to go before the biggest arts festival in Zimbabwe, Hifa organisers say they are bringing in some Cats, Bandits and Charmes to the event.
This was revealed on Wednesday morning by Hifa executive director during a Press briefing at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe.

“We are just going to give you some teasers with regards to who some of the acts performing at this year’s festival are. I am glad to reveal that we are hosting the amazing South Korean group, the Drum Cat,” said Hifa executive director, Maria Wilson.

She highlighted that the group has unmatched energy and their way of playing the drums is just amazing – a must see performance at the festival.

“The world of music has changed over the years and the trending new genre is electro dance music better known as EDM.

“We have been hosting the Sonic Wonderland EDM show every Saturday for the past two editions and this year we are bringing in two top acts in the world to spice up the event namely, Bali Bandits and Lucky Charmes.

“This is another unique experience and I encourage people to attend.”

Also present at the briefing was one of Hifa’s corporate sponsors CABS, who expressed their delight in partnering with the event as it enters its 18th edition.

“We are delighted to once again host the Opera Gala, which has become an integral part of the festival,” said CABS deputy managing director, Mehluli Mpofu.

“We understand that Hifa is about giving artistes an opportunity to showcase but more importantly celebrating our love for the arts and humanity as a nation,” he added.

This year’s festival will run from May 1-6 under the theme “We Count”.
