Arnold Chipadza
Harare High School
I am Arnold Chipadza. I am 19 years old. I scored 25 points at Harare High in the November 2015 Zimsec A’ Level session. I wrote Mathematics, Accounts, Economics, Business Studies and Further Mathematics and scored straight As.
2801-1-1-ARNOLD (2)I am the highest at Harare High and first ever student to score five straight A’s at A level at the school.
Initially my combination was Maths, Accounts and Economics. I ended up adding Business Studies and Further Maths when I was in upper six. I took the additional two subjects to give myself a competitive edge when applying for university.
I must say that it was not an easy stroll in the park as I faced several challenges. For example, there were inadequate places to study since the school relies on hot sitting. I preferred studying at night but due to unreliable power supplies I would utilize both day and night.
I would like to thank my friends Munyaradzi Chinhandarata, Golden Mwewa, Perceive Mutsikwi and Adiola Chirinda for being my study partners. I am also delighted for them because they all fared very well.
I attribute my success to shear determination, hardwork and discipline.
I have risen through the ranks from humble beginnings. Born and bred in Murehwa, I did my primary school at Sumbanjera Primary and obtained 5 units. I did my O’ level at St Kosmas College (Waterfalls) and obtained 7As and 1C. I proceeded to do my A’ level at Harare High.
I would like to pursue Actuarial Science. Unfortunately, my parents are not in a position to finance my studies. I am therefore, seeking from the corporate world to help me realise my dream.I would like to thank my parents for devoting the meagre resource they had to enable me to shine. I would also like to extent my profound gratitude to my teachers Mr. Chibanda, Mr Sibanda, Mrs Njodza and Mr. Mapahla. They gave me not only academic but moral and ethical advice for life.
Any form of assistance I can get to achieve my dream will be appreciated. You can contact me on: 0784 232 459 or 0773 781 243
