Mhere who had a series of concerts with Takesure Zama-Ncube and Mkhululi Bhebhe in Dallas, United States of America three weeks ago told this publication that he is now taking farming more serious than before.

“I have been doing farming of late but now I want to be more serious. I have a farm in Beatrice and already I am into poultry,” Mhere said.

He said people have a tendency of relaxing while things are flourishing forgetting that one day tables might turn for worse.

“An old adage says ‘make hay while the sun shines’ things are good for me these days, God is really blessing me and I have realised that this might be my opportunity to find other avenues that will sustain me in the future.

“Ever since I started music I have achieved a lot. I have acquired a recording studio, my music is being appreciated by many and as a result I am experiencing massive turn outs during my shows, a rare thing in the gospel industry these days.

“I have a record label ( Mhere Music) , recently I was appointed brand ambassador for two organisations: ZAHA which is into residential stands and charity work as well as Mega First which gives awards to performing cooperates.

“But I was not convinced I still needed something hence venturing into this sustainable income generating project,” said the 27 year old musician.

Mhere recorded his third album “Glory to Glory” early this year and its launch was characterised by adultery allegations exchanged between him, his wife Susan Dzinamarira and friend Gift Mahlupeka.

His song ‘Ephiziba’ taken from this album which he claimed sold at least 10 000 graced the Star FM Gospel Greats top 20 show hosted by Leander Kandiero.

‘Ephiziba’ on which he collaborated with ZimPraise star Sharon Manyonganise — Mandizha has however been struggling to break into the top ten having occupied positions 11 and 12 in the past fortnight.

“Ephiziba is my first collaboration with Sharon and it is receiving overwhelming response from gospel music followers. I engaged Sharon for a collaboration having realised she is extremely talented and I also wanted to boost her career.

“We share the same vision as we are all passionate about spreading the word of God through music,” reiterated Mhere, a father of three.
