Believers are encouraged to pray for the spirit to discern true prophecies to avoid deception. Senior pastor and founder of Glorious Fire Family International in Bindura Tonderai Nyariri said false prophets are leading Christians astray.

“The danger is people have studied prophecies and they are releasing them in a way that is very convincing. Let’s pray to God people of Zimbabwe so that God gives us discernment when prophecy comes.

“2 Corinthians 4v4 speaks of Satan as the god of this world, he uses deceit to confuse Christians.

“The devil rules in this world and he is at work to ensure that those that believe in God fall,” Pastor Nyariri said.

This comes on the back of TB Joshua’s alledged prophecy that has been circulating on social media.

However, the leader and founder of the Synagogue of Church of all Nations (SCOAN), Temitope Balogun Joshua, last Thursday refuted claims that he prophesied the fall of popular prophets in Zimbabwe.

Posting a comment on his facebook account titled TB Joshua, the Botswana-based televangelist said he could never issue such a statement as the anointed God is not a God of confusion.

“Good morning, people of Zimbabwe.

“Our attention has been drawn to false rumours spread by the father of lies which are currently being circulated around Zimbabwe. The reward of liars is destruction.

“We hereby curse, in the name of Jesus, whoever is spreading these rumours.

“Prophet T.B. Joshua can NEVER and he will NEVER give such a message because our God is not the God of confusion. We should be very careful not to touch an anointed man of God and lie against him,” read the post.

“The Bible says in John 8:44 that satan is ‘the father of lies’. Don’t listen to the father of lies, the sons of lies and the daughters of lies.

“Do not sit somewhere, hear this or that and come to a hasty conclusion. God requires that we find out the truth from Him first and hold fast to that which is true, as the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:21. God bless Zimbabwe,” concluded TB Joshua.

The false prophecy stated that TB Joshua had in a vision seen the flag of Zimbabwe and three trees with only one of them having roots.

“In the vision behold there were three trees, but of the three trees only one had roots, the other two were standing, but had no roots.

“The Lord said look again and when I looked the other tree had fallen, and another tree was about to fall.

“The Lord said take this message to Zimbabwe and tell them, I am cleaning up prophets in their nation, and the work has already began.

“The three trees represent the three well-known prophets in that nation, one who has already fallen and the other about to fall harder than the first.

The Lord God Almighty said warn the people of Zimbabwe not to stand in the way of what God wants to do, if people in high offices, politicians, police force and people in positions of power are not careful their names shall be dragged in the mud for helping evil to prevail,” stated the excepts of the prophecy.

Fingers had already begun pointing to the popular prophets namely Spirit Embassy leader Uebert Angel, Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries leader Walter Magaya and Emmanuel Makandiwa of United Family International Church.

Pastor Nyariri said as 1 John 4v1 states, Christians ought not to believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit.

“As Christians we have been given the right to test if the spirit comes from God as there are many false prophets in the world.

“Nothing will make the devil happy than to see men of God being accused and falling,” Pastor Nyariri said.
