Excitement is running high ahead of the Star FM Gospel Greats Top 50 show set for the last Sunday before the New Year.
The show will be broadcast live and presented by Napolean Nyani, better known as Napstar.
Napstar said listeners should be glued to their radios between 6pm and midnight.
“Just as per our tradition we are going to have our Top 50 on the last Sunday before New Year. We will use a simple criterion in selecting the winners. We are going to tally and add all the votes that were amassed during the course of the year for individual tracks. The song which gets the most votes will automatically become the winning song,” Napster said.
He said listeners who correctly predict the winning track and those in the top 10 would get prizes.
“We have a number of sponsors who have shown interest in partnering us so we will have a lot of prizes to give away during the night.”
He said during the show, several artistes who made waves in the gospel arena this year would be interviewed, sharing their experiences with their fans.
Napstar said some of the artistes to expect included Permican winners and Zimbabwe Music Awards nominees Janet Manyowa and Minister Michael Mahendere.
The line-up also includes Sharon Manyonganise, Kuda Mutsvene, Reverend Tapera Chivaviro, Patience Masiyambiri–Mandizha and Mathias Mhere among others.
