Bishop Ancelem and Prophetess Margareth Takaedza Gwaze are founders and senior pastors of New Revelation Ministries in Zengeza 1, Chitungwiza. Their Prestige Glass House Church will this month host the preparatory meeting for Today’s Woman Conference, that will be held later in the year. Tendai Manzvanzvike spoke to Bishop Ancelem (ATG) and Prophetess Margareth (MTG) about the ministry and the Today’s Woman Conference.

TM: New Revelation Ministries – what is it all about?

ATG: New Revelation Ministries is now in its thirteenth year and comprises the church and a ministry that takes care of the needs of orphaned children and other underprivileged people. If we factor in all branches, the congregation is about three to four thousand.

TM: Are you saying that you have built orphanages and where are the orphans drawn from?

ATG: We look after orphans within the church and those that are identified by other people. We also look at the needs of orphans who would have performed very well academically, and would want to go to university.

We have so far sponsored a number of young men and women by paying their tuition fees. Some of them have already attained their degrees and are now working. We also have a vision to build a centre for them.

TM: Apart from the church in Zengeza, where else are you?

ATG: We have outreach programmes that focus on rural communities. We have branches in areas like Chendambuya, Zvimba, Marondera, Madziva, Darwendale, Shamva, and Mhondoro to mention a few.

TM: Prophetess, you’re a mother. There are issues concerning these underprivileged people, issues of rights. How does the church deal with vulnerable children’s rights in line with the word of God?

MTG: We counsel them and talk to them to try and establish their problems. We tell them their rights, especially about abuse and try to educate them.

TM: We are in the second month of 2015. What is your theme for the year, and what does it entail?

ATG: Our theme is “Reaching greater heights” and is based on Proverbs 4:7-9, which says: “Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honour you. She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendour.”

We’re declaring that we will reach greater heights in every sphere of our lives, be it health, material, financial needs and more. And, we are also saying that if you want to get to greater heights, you’ve to walk in wisdom.

Wisdom is the word of God. With the Word of God, there is nothing impossible. The Bible says God has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who has called us unto His glory and virtue. So, we can have all things in our lives, if we walk in wisdom; if we walk by the Word.

The Word is Jesus himself that became flesh. So, if you embrace Jesus in your life, that’s wisdom, and you now know the principles of the Word of God and at the same time, that wisdom, Jesus Christ, will exalt and promote you.

Jesus Christ will give you the honour and the ornament of grace, which is the ability to do whatever you want to do as long as it is in line with the Word of God – what you ought to do, and not what you want to do, because you’re supposed to walk by the principles of the Word, nothing else.

The crown of glory is the presence of the Father upon you. As long as the presence of the Father is upon you, there is nothing impossible in life because He is the creator of this universe and everything else in it. So, it means that when the glory of God is upon you, you have put on the godhead of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

So, you are empowered to do whatever you want to do in your life. You cannot fail. You refuse to be defeated.

There is a lot of misinterpretation of the Word of God. You’ve probably been at a funeral where Job 14:1, which says “Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble.” But if you read the Bible very well, that was in the Old Testament. These people were not born again. So, if we are born again, it means that we put on Christ, the power that created the universe.

TM: I recently spoke with a woman of God who said that the sad thing today is that although the Word of God says, seek ye first the Kingdom of God and righteousness . . . what is happening is that people want things before the kingdom. She also said that the preachers are manipulated to teach what the congregation wants because they are hungry for things. Your comment!

ATG: That was very true but my heart’s desire is for people to seek the kingdom of God first. It was also Paul’s desire when he was talking to the church in Rome: “Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved . . . Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. (Romans 10:1-4)

Salvation is not about money only. In this vision that God gave me, we give people the whole package by preaching the full gospel. As long as you preach Christ Jesus, everything will follow you.

I’m bleeding inside about those who just preach about prosperity when there is ‘death’ in their churches. People are walking with the dead while they are in the light of Christ, because of lack of knowledge.

Let me also take this opportunity to correct the notion about “the Deborah anointing”. There is nothing like “the Deborah anointing”. Deborah doesn’t have any anointing. There is only the Christ anointing for born again children of God.

TM: And your doctrine?

ATG: It’s based on Galatians 5:19-22, which speaks about the fruit of the Spirit.

TM: Prophetess Margareth, the prophetic among women in particular is not easily embraced. What is it to you?

MTG: I am in the office of a prophet. It’s not just a name. Everyone can prophesy, yes, but I am in the office of the prophet. God has revealed so many hidden things to me – countless and they have come to pass. They are also well documented.

TM: You are hosting the Today’s Woman preparatory meeting. What is Today’s Woman?

MTG: I am a board member of Today’s Woman, which is an interdenominational programme meant to bring women from all circles of the Christian community. Archbishop Eunor Guti of Zaoga FIF is the visionary.

On February 25, they are all coming to our church for a tea party and sharing of the Word. New Revelation Ministries and I feel very honoured to be partners and organisers of Today’s Woman.

TM: What is in store for those that will attend?

MTG: Well, we expect the reception to be tremendous. We are also promising that women’s eyes will be opened spiritually, financially, socially and economically. They will be empowered to live their lives victoriously.
