Divine Appointments: Churches reflect on 2015 Apostle Kanyati

The Sunday Mail

THIS is the season of Advent, when the Christian community celebrates the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is the time of giving and receiving, a time of celebration and worship. The festive season is also a time to sing Christmas carols such as:
Once in royal David’s city
Stood a lowly cattle shed,
Where a mother laid her baby
In a manger for His bed:
Mary was that mother mild,
Jesus Christ her little child.
As we do the countdown to Christmas Day and the end of 2015, we bring you reflections on the year from some of the churches featured during the course of the year.
Zoe Life Changing
Ministries, Harare
They will commemorate the birth of the Lord in Israel, with some couples getting the opportunity to renew their marriage vows at Cana and also receiving Cana marriage certificates.
They will also have water baptism in the Jordan River where Jesus was baptised and hold their Christmas service in Bethlehem where He was born.
ZOE Life Changing Ministries theme for 2015 is, “A year of Distinction” taken from Daniel 6:3.
Co-founder and overseer, Apostle Dr Florence Kanyati summed up the year thus:
“As we look back, we can say that this theme was fulfilled. We had greater joy to witness spiritual growth among our members. Distinction in our ministry was witnessed at individual level and corporate levels.
“In an environment where many are pursuing miracles and material things, members of our ministry distinguished themselves in the love and fear of God.
“God granted grace to members in our church that despite temptation to compromise, they remained in good standing with the Lord. We saw sons and daughters in the ministry who did not bow down to evil structures, but held on to their faith.
“As the Bible says in Matthew 6:33, we witnessed the fulfilment of this scripture that despite members in our ministry distinguishing themselves by seeking and pursuing after God, all they required was added unto them.
“We had members in our ministry being given awards at national level, some acquired properties, others were chosen to represent their organisations at international level and those in business thrived in their line of business in this economy.
“In 2015, we had great weddings and couples being blessed with twins. We also witnessed barren women conceiving.
“Those in the academic arena had outstanding results, and even school-going children in the ministry had outstanding performances.
“We managed to reach out through evangelising to other nations such as Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda and Uganda among others.
“God raised a crop of gospel preachers from our school of ministry. Through our ministry’s marriage clinics, marriages and families were established and restored.”
Christian Healing
Ministries for all Nations
Pastor Anselm Mvenge of Christian Healing Ministries for all nations said:
“Our God given theme and prophecy which I declared on December 31 2014 was ‘2015 – The Year of Transformation’. (Ezekiel 37:1-14)
“Because the theme was from God, it was definitely fulfilled and continues to be fulfilled as much as all the past prophecies given to me by God were always fulfilled.
“The prophecy continues to be fulfilled in this way: from January 1 to date, every newspaper is talking about transformation; churches are talking about transformation; governments including our own are all talking about transformation.
“This includes economic transformation. The Zim-Asset programme in our own nation is all about transformation. All foreign investors flooding our country are responding to our prophecy that 2015 is the year of transformation.
“FIFA and ZIFA are all going through a process of transformation. Our education and health systems are all going through a process of transformation.
“World leaders are holding conferences focusing on transformation of their nations. All the talk you hear about climate change is about transformation. The list is actually endless.
“I have also witnessed individuals whose circumstances and situations were like the dry bones of the house of Israel in Ezekiel 37:1-14 having their lives completely transformed the moment they responded to God’s Word according to Ezekiel 37:1-14 through our ministry.
“Some were transformed from sickness to health, and others from death to life as they responded to the gospel according to Matthew 10:1-10.
“Through God’s grace, He has so transformed us by His Word and Spirit just like He transformed the house of Israel. The numbers of people we are reaching and illuminating with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ have continued to increase.
“We are also able to reach souls who are responding from different parts of the world through the internet as we now have a very competent and inspired devotional team.
“God has also provided us with a live stream where people can listen to our messages live from any part of the world.
“As transformation could not be complete without talking about youth empowerment, our youths who are the Church of both today and tomorrow held youth musical concerts where young musicians from other churches were also invited to participate.
“The youth concerts were to help raise funds in support of the activities of the ministry to continue reaching many souls all over the world through our daily devotionals as well as through the electronic media.
“The ministry has also been able to continue providing for the needy who include the widows and the orphans and also the unemployed.
“Through God’s grace, we have been able to achieve our targets. The achievements of the ministry have all been centred on whatever the Spirit of God directed us.
“The ministry does not concentrate on challenges of this world as Jesus Christ in John 16:33b said. Challenges are our means to an end, which is eternal salvation.
“Our standard is always Jesus Christ who while in pain at the Cross did not concentrate on His pain but on the forgiveness of the ignorant people who were crucifying Him.
“So, He prayed for the forgiveness of their sins to His Father. People who are coming to our ministry are those facing all the challenges that you can think of in our nation and the world today and they come expecting to get a solution from God through us.
“To all servants of the LORD Jesus Christ, we are a team and the captain is Jesus Christ. According to John 21:15-21, the love of God does not start with the love for people, but it always begins with the love for God. It is God Himself who then gives us that perfect love for His people which worked through His Son.”
