FORMER champions Dynamos are in the market for two more players for the upcoming season.

DeMbare say they now have 28 players on their roaster, leaving them with two more slots to fill which they have reserved for a striker and a goalkeeper.

The club already has the goalkeeping duo of Ashley Reyners and Tonderai Mateyaunga on their books but the Lloyd Mutasa-led technical bench is reportedly not convinced they have what it takes to fill the gap left by the departure of Zimbabwe international goalkeeper Tatenda Mkuruva who joined South African side Cape Town City FC.

Reyners, although not necessarily at fault for the 3-1 Commander ZNA Charities match defeat to Caps United, did little to convince the DeMbare faithful that he is the right man to guard goal as the Glamour Boys seek to reclaim the league crown they last won in 2014.

Long serving team manager Richard “Nyoka” Chihoro confirmed DeMbare were almost done with their transfer business with the signing of a keeper and a striker the only outstanding transactions.

“We are still in the market for two more players,” said Chihoro.

“We are very specific in that we want a goalkeeper and a striker otherwise for the other positions we feel we have done our job and we have a squad that is ready to challenge for honours.

“However this is not to say we don’t have confidence in the players that we have but you must appreciate that the league race is a marathon so we want a balanced squad that will complement each other’s efforts,” he said.

DeMbare sacked two senior strikers Roderick Mutuma and Jacob Muzokomba at the beginning of the year and have entrusted Aces Youth Academy product Emmanuel Mandiranga to lead the attack.

However, Mandiranga who has had stints at FC Platinum, How Mine and Bulawayo City, failed to convince when DeMbare were clobbered by rivals Caps United in the ZNA Charities Shield.

The ailing giants are targeting Cameroonian international forward Ntouba Epoupa Christan Jole and are also running the ruler on ex Gunners striker Quality Kangadze.

Meanwhile Mutasa will today get another opportunity to fine tune his squad when they square up against top flight league returnees Black Rhinos in a friendly at Gwanzura Stadium.

The cheapest ticket is going for $2.
