FOR months now, Dynamos players have endured financial constraints as the club battles to settle outstanding payments but Lloyd Mutasa’s boys have soldiered on and the team is gradually regaining trust from its legions of fans.

DeMbare are unbeaten in their last five matches, as they ride on a four-match winning streak and they face Bulawayo City at the National Sports this afternoon in buoyant mood.

This is despite the fact that the players are yet to get their winning bonuses.

Mutasa is away on national duty with the Warriors in South Africa and his assistant Biggie Zuze will be in charge.

Zuze who joined Dynamos from Triangle at the beginning of the season, has been impressed with the “amazing” work ethic amongst the players.

After a topsy-turvy start to the season, Dynamos have found the groove and are now breathing on the necks of early pacesetters Black Rhinos, Ngezi Platinum and Chicken Inn.

The awakening giants have 23 points and five behind log leaders Ngezi Platinum, as they await the ruling on the abandoned match against Chapungu which ended in the 556th minute with DeMbare leading 4-0.

The Premier Soccer League has referred the matter to the Disciplinary Committee which will sit on Thursday, while Chapungu have been charged for causing the abandonment of the match due to failure to provide a replacement or reserve goal.

For now DeMbare have to focus on Bulawayo City and Zuze is upbeat.

“The winning streak is a motivation for the players because they now want to keep on winning,” said Zuze.

“The youngsters have been working hard at training and their hard work is paying off.

“The supporters are also happy, they are also starting to believe in the boys which is good for the players’ confidence,” he said.

Dynamos face Bulawayo City without influential skipper Ocean Mushure who is away on Cosafa Cup with the Warriors.

Promising striker Quality Kangadzi is also out through injury but DeMbare have inform Cameroonian import Christian Epoupa to look up to.

Denver Mukamba and Emmanuel Mandiranga were also hot when DeMbare ran riot at Ascot last Sunday.

“We are playing a Bulawayo side that has a lot of experience within their ranks but the same approach we used in the previous games is the same one we will use on Sunday (today).

“Our only fear is complacency but we have talked about it. The boys have come to realise that nothing comes on a silver platter, no results come where there is no hard work,” said Zuze.

DeMbare drew 1-1 against Bulawayo City in Harare last season, a month after the Harare side had edged City 1-0 at Barbourfields.

DeMbare’s recent performances have inspired confidence within their fans and a huge crowd is expected at the National Sports this afternoon.

And Bulawayo City coach Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu is aware of what to expect.

“What we need most is to be mentally prepared for the game because Dynamos usually have the 12th man strongly behind them when they play at home.

“It’s an uphill task meeting Dynamos at this juncture when they have gathered momentum and are doing well. Just look at their previous games, it will be a tough match for us,” said Mpofu.
