BULAWAYO based gospel group, The Creme Voices believe they have the crème de la crème of the country’s gospel singers.

Founded in 2012 by Mr Neville Charlton Dube, the group made up of eight vocalists and four instrumentalist performs at corporate events, weddings and in churches.

They released their first single “Uthando” last year, which asserted their claim that they are the current kings and queens of gospel music in Zimbabwe.

Their first single “Uthando” released last year has had its fair share of support on the weekly Star Fm Gospel Greats. It best position attained on the charts has been number three.

Speaking to The Sunday Mail Religion, Mr Dube believes they have what it takes to be at the pinnacle of gospel music.

“Our single track speaks volumes about our music. The group was formed in 2012 but we realised our single track only last year and we are now enjoying the fruits of patience.

“We have set a high standard and it is our desire to maintain it,” Mr Dube said.

The group founder added that when recruiting members they mainly search for talent and one’s personal relationship with God.

“During auditions we sit as senior members, and we go through a rigorous process, looking for talent, passion and one’s relationship with God. It is our primary expectation to see one’s lifestyle complimenting his or her ministry,” he said.

“During auditions we look for people who are able to harmonise with the rest of the group. We base our music mostly on harmonies since we have fewer songs that require lead singers,” he added. “We compose our own songs and during the process each and every member has an opportunity to contribute, this is because we believe that everyone has a unique talent that can positively influence the song.

“All our songs are inspirational and they have the power to transform and positively impact human’s life,” said Mr Dube.
