EVEN if you don’t buy the hyperbole that Dynamos has a massive and never changing seven million supporters, you just have to sympathise with the club as they prepare to face Caps United this afternoon.

Even if you find the statement that God made the sky blue because he loves DeMbare blasphemous, you just have to feel sorry for a team that is winless in six league matches.

Even if you support Makepekepe, you have to sympathise with the DeMbare faithfuls when they are told to go hang by club president Keni Mubaiwa.

However, you cannot feel sorry for a section of Dynamos fans who somehow believe that former team manager Richard “Nyoka” Chihoro is responsible for their team’s not so glamorous start to the season.

Debate of Dynamos’ wrenched start to the season is taking a comical turn on social media as some fans allege, without proof or shame or both, that Chihoro “locked” their team.

Yes the manner in which Chihoro was sent packing was regrettable and the old man, wherever he is, must be feeling hard done.

But to allege that he is so bitter that he has summoned some dark forces to work against DeMbare’s success is ludicrous, it’s the kind of stuff that makes one a potential candidate for the psychiatric unit.

I know the rumours around Chihoro and also know how heartily he laughs when someone accuses him of being a juju master.

“Football has no shortcuts, if juju worked why would teams spend hours at training? I am Christian and don’t believe in such stuff.

“Players should just train hard and results will come. People can use a lot of stuff like snuff, but it does not work at all. It is just a question of mind games,” Chihoro was once quoted as saying.

What Nyoka has to say about the latest allegations being levelled against him is open to speculation but Yours Truly can imagine him saying “vanopenga ava, they are mad.”

DeMbare’s field woes are not about Chihoro.

They are symptoms of deep lying problems at the club and if there is a man who should take the flake, then it is one Bernard “Magitare” Marriot.

Marriot, the DeMbare board chairman, refuses to accept that DeMbare are slowly losing their Glamour Boys tag, he refuses to accept that it’s possible for the club to have a chief executive officer.

Magitare is the guy who sees nothing wrong with Mubaiwa telling Dynamos fans to go to hell, he is the man who plays on the guitar when the club is burning and players are owed thousands of dollars in sign on fees.

Marriot has never commented on the Epoupa situation yet he claims to “own” Dynamos and wants what is best for it.

What is missing from this DeMbare outfit is the Cameroonian’s presence upfront.

Epoupa’s goals carried Dynamos last season, tasking the likes of Kuda Kumwala to do what Nyakanyaka did is an act of abuse.

Kumwala cannot be Epoupa and the sooner DeMbare resolve the standoff with the Cameroonian the better for the club, the better for our football.

Let’s face it guys, a misfiring DeMbare makes our game sneeze.

As usual, the Blue Army is sounding defiant ahead of the clash with Makepekepe but if what we have seen from their team over the past six matches is anything to go by, Dynamos will be lucky to come out of the NSS with a point.

That lion on their emblem appears toothless!
