FOUNDER and leader of Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Forward in Faith, Archbishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, turned 93 last Thursday.
The birthday of the revered man of the cloth came seven days before the church celebrates its 56th anniversary.
Last week, Archbishop Guti was ministering in Botswana.
Archbishop Guti founded Zaoga FIF on May 12, 1960 under a gum tree in Bindura. In 1963, the Archbishop said as he prayed in a cave in Bindura, God told him: “Learn and read the English Bible and learn to preach in English because you shall go to many countries with my word.”
Today his ministry is present in Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, the US and the UK.
Archbishop Guti has founded Bible schools in Zimbabwe, Ghana, Zambia and Mozambique, training more than 4 000 pastors from over 55 nations.
He also founded the Forward in Faith Orphanage Center, FIF Children’s Ministry, FIF College and High School Ministry, Gracious Women’s Fellowship International, and the Husband’s Agape International Fellowship.
Archbishop Guti oversees over 5 000 pastors and evangelists worldwide.
Having authored over 80 books, Archbishop Guti continues to publish titles that include “Maturity Which Comes by Knowing the Ways of God”, “Understanding Your Angels”, “New African Apostle”, “Human Beings Cannot Change Without Pressure” and “Laws and Responsibilities of a Leader”.
This year Archbishop Guti and his church realised a milestone with the official opening of the Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University in Bindura.
