OFTEN people confuse the two words, brain and mind. The brain is the centre of thought and sensation; the soft matter within the skull comprising of the hypothalamus, cerebrum, medulla oblongata and corpus callosum among other features, using only 20 percent of the body’s energy.

The mind is the intellectual faculty of power. We tend to discredit the potential of our mind not knowing that thoughts can physically influence events.

The potential of the human mind is subjected to and limited only by our individual beliefs or none beliefs as to whether we can accomplish a thing or not. Human mind power is evidenced in the fact that we always get to be right. Humans are not prisoners of fate, but only prisoners of their own minds.

Our mind is so powerful. It can influence in ways that were previously unforeseen or things that we believe to be impossible allowing us to accomplish things our mind only knows are possible.

All you need is to believe.

Our subconscious mind is smarter and more powerful than we are, therefore we must tackle the exceptionally bad habit of saying, “it’s impossible”. Your mind holds power that you probably wouldn’t believe.

Your conscious mind is just the very tip of a vast of a pyramid of knowledge and wisdom that is our subconscious mind.

I therefore encourage every human being to believe in your own power for this is far more than just dreaming.

The human mind is the most powerful tool in the world that many of us fail to use. It is the only key that can unlock any door. Believe me it works and I have seen it work.

To all the Upper Six’s in Zimbabwe I say, as you prepare for your final exams in June and November, unlock your mind’s power and start believing in yourself, your abilities and your goals. Start thinking positively today.
