I value education as l know that without it you become a rubbish pit for every rotten stick in the wood. Being female is a matter of birth, being a woman is a matter of age, but being a true leader is a matter of serving others ,extending a hand to those in need.

I am generous with my time, wisdom and resources. As a leader l maintain a teachable posture and embrace change for better. My nature is effective, submissive, and active and brings to life the best in each other. value education as l know that without it you become a rubbish pit for every rotten stick in the wood. Being female is a matter of birth, being a woman is a matter of age, but being a true leader is a matter of serving others ,extending a hand to those in need .

All that cannot be possible in a violence rife environment. Violence limits my opportunities of being a great young leader. It brings out the worst out of us young people and exposes us to choices that will doom our future.

But who am l in the midst of that violence. I am a young lady of her word aged 15 in the prefects board at Chiredzi Government High School doing sciences at ordinary level.

I am Honourable Junior Councillor Panashe Mhingwa representing Chiredzi West constituency in Masvingo Province and also the Chiredzi Junior Town Secretary.

Being part of the Citizen Child Youth Media Project Chiredzi Cluster will give me an opportunity to influence the powers that be the as we seek to fight violence and exploitation against children and young people in my community.

For me violence is more than a beating, it’s that unwelcoming environment that limits us children to pursue our dreams. As a young leader l seek to fight for a favourable environment so that me and my peers will have a good environment to pursue our dreams “l say no to violence and exploitation”. PEACE is what we need.
