FORMER Dynamos coach Kallisto Pasuwa says the champions are a big team who “deserve” to continue winning even after his departure.

Pasuwa led Dynamos to four league titles on the bounce before quitting in a huff at the end of last season.

The coach dragged DeMbare to the Labour Court seeking to be paid his outstanding salaries but the two parties agreed on an out of court settlement.

Now with the dust of that legal battled settled Pasuwa speaks of his wishes for the Glamour Boys.

“Dynamos is a big team and they have to continue winning because that is the culture of the club,” he said.

“I played my part and it’s time for the guys who are there to do theirs. We are all Dynamos sons and have a duty to ensure that the team’s legacy continues to grow. I am not bitter because every family has issues … I am even ready to assist the club if the need arises.”

As he takes a sabbatical from club football Pasuwa has a mission to secure the future of Zimbabwean football with the assistance of Saul Chaminuka in the Young Warriors set-up.

They both come from Masvingo, their mothers are related and both are staunch followers of the Johanne Masowe Echishanu apostolic sect.

However, last season they were “bitter rivals” at club level as their respective teams engaged in an intriguing race for the Premier Soccer League title and yet at national level they combined forces. As fate would have it Pasuwa got the better of his “elder brother” Chaminuka as DeMbare romped to a record equalling fourth consecutive title.

Pasuwa quit his job at the champions but Chaminuka is still soldiering on at ZPC Kariba. The two coaches have managed to forge a strong working relationship in their Young Warriors project.

“Saul is a brother to me, not just a football elder but we are relatives because our mothers come from the same family. I also respect him as a coach and I learn a lot from him . The same way he also takes one or two notes from my coaching book.
